Consumers Choose Between Sex and Cell phones
Which is more important to you --- tinkering with your cell phone or doing the wild thing?
In Chicago, a recent consumer research study polled 300 participants, whether they would select their cell phone over sex. The survey results showed that three out of 10 would give up sex for their cell phone.
However, if one analyzes the numbers, 179 respondents were female; 121 were men; and more than 50 percent of the participants were married.
So, the validity of the results is questionable if one considers:
- How many of those people actually enjoy sex?
- Aside from texting, conversing and exchanging photos, what else do those cell phone-loving respondents do with their communication devices?
- Are some of the people who have an affliction for their cell phone capable of interacting with others one-on-one, sans technology?
- Were any of the respondents sex workers, who might be worn out from their day job?
- Given the almost 2+ million people who reside in Chicago, is a survey of 300 participants an accurate assessment of the population's cell phone preferences.

I think that the results also depended on the age, religion and cultural backgrounds of the participants, so they can't be taken for granted, but the tendency of the growing importance of cell phones is evedent. Even children are mad about them.
