Anti-Tooth Decaying Foods and Beverages

TAGS: dental care, dentist, American Dental Association, ADA, tooth care

According to a report published by the American Dental Association (ADA), chewing gum stimulates the production of saliva. But, it must be sugarless. For the prevention of tooth decay, it's best if chewed within 20 minutes of a meal. Here are a few other substances that help prevent tooth decay:

American cheese
Black tea (tannins)
Cheddar cheese
Green tea (tannins)
Jalapenos
Mozzarella cheese
Red Wines (tannins)
Salsa
SWIS Swiss cheese

The above items should not replace your regular visits to your dentist and are not a substitute for daily oral care: brushing and flossing.
