Starbucks Offers Pseudo-free Internet Access

Categories: free wi-fi, Internet access, Starbucks, AT & T, T-Mobile Mc Donalds, hotspots,

Since T-Mobile and Starbucks did not renew their contract, AT and T plans to fill their Wi-fi "hot spot" footprints. Starbucks customers have long complained about having to pay for internet service. At last a strategic partnership with AT and T presents a new customer experience. The union between the conglomerates allows customers  carrying Starbucks loyalty cards with a minimum of $5 credit, free use of the internet.

Unfortunately, the complimentary Internet access will be limited to current AT and T accountholders. That's more than 11 million customers across the nation or more than 7000 chains. As for Starbucks customers, who are not AT & T subscribers, the cost will be $3.99. Unlike T-Mobile, who charged $6 an hour, the AT and T rate includes the first two-hours. At McDonald's locations, AT and T offers the same networking deal but without the loyalty card. The difference being that McDonalds' customers pay only  $2.95 after the first two hours of use.

Fast food chains, franchises and conglomerates who offer free wi-fi include:

● Dunkin Donuts
● Panera Breat
● Mc Donalds
● Starbucks
● Argo Tea
● Subway
● Caribou Coffee
