Circuit City vs. Best Buy
While Best Buy fares better on the stock market than Circuit City, it seems downright unfair.
In realms of customer satisfaction, Circuit City outperforms Best Buy in a myriad of ways.
For years, I used to shop at Best Buy. After a number of faulty products, irrelevant
warranties and detached, unknowledgeable employees, I made the switch to Circuit CIty.
The turning point was after I contacted the company's subsidiary, The Geek Squad.
After a series of confusing phone calls, I took my computer in for assistance. To make
a long story a short one, what Best Buy's highly promoted Geek Squad refused to do,
Circuit CIty over-compensated in every way. In other words, Circuit CIty solved
my computer problem.
For more than three years, I have been shopping at Circuit City. From their clever online
drop shipping service to any department of the store, consumers can expect awesome
customer service. Additionally, the store's layout is easy to peruse the aisles. Not to
mention, it's all about pleasing the customer because the store representatives actually
approach you, the consumer (imagine that). Consistently, their representatives provide
kind, friendly and expert assistance. In this day and age of inept customer service,
it's so refreshing to experience such exceptional customer support from a big box store -- all the time.
The Consumer Journal finds the staff at Circuit City always professional with outstanding
product knowledge--sans the attitude. Circuit City keep up the good work.
