A Recipe for a Labor Day Bash

For natives of the northern hemisphere of North America, the warm days of summer are numbered. Labor Day marks the last days of balminess before the weather makes a brisk chill, the leaves turn colors and darkness sets in.

But despite the impending days of cold, here's a quick and easy recipe for a backyard bash. You can cheat by preparing this recipe the night before and then throwing it on the grill to infuse a smoky flavor.

Legs on Fire

Serves: 10 - 12
Preparation time: Seven minutes
Baking Time: 1 hour and 30 Minutes

Ingredients

24-Chicken Legs
9 TB. of Light Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp. of sea salt
3-tsp. of black pepper
3-tsp. Paprika
1-tsp of red cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. of nutmeg
1 tsp. of sage

1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2) Mix all spices in a bowl and then divide evenly into four plastic bags.
3) Rinse chicken legs.
4) Then, add legs to bagged seasonings. Shake each bag until all pieces are coated evenly.
5) Place the legs on two cookie sheets lined in aluminum foil.
6) Bake for 1 hr and 30 minutes on 400.

Optional
Refrigerate and serve at room temperature. Or during the party, grill chicken legs for one or two minutes.
