Travel Alert Advisory

Categories: Travel security, TSA, FAA, airport, airlines, cigarette lighters

Despite the fact that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) plans to lift the ban against boarding planes with cigarette lighters, airport officials report that terrorist cells have been running “dry runs” for a new attack. If boarding policies change, travelers with nursing infants would be allowed to fly with more breast milk. While these changes are tentatively scheduled to take affect August 4, 2007, airline passengers should remain alert and report any suspicious activity to airport personnel.
