Travel from the United States to other North American destinations becomes officially ordained with a passport.

The new passport travel law is finally in effect. Americans traveling by land, sea and air must have a valid passport between the following destinations:
· Bermuda
· Canada
· Central America
· Mexico
· South America
· The Caribbean Islands (ie. Santo Domingo, Haiti, Jamaica, etc

While most passport renewals can be managed through the mail, there are extenuating circumstances that require an in-person application:

· The passport was issued more than 15 years ago
· If your passport was lost or stolen
· The original travel identification was issued when the adult was younger than 16 years of age
· The passport is damaged

Passport Travel Requirements
Across the nation, some 9,000 facilities are working to simplify the new passport transition. The application process requires the following information:

● Two photographs
● Proof of U.S. citizenship
● Valid id with photo (in example: State identification or a driver’s license).
● A $67 passport application fee
