Financial Advice - Credit Card Transfer

Dear Alerts For Consumers :

Shortly before the New Year, I invested in an extra laptop for my business. Although, I could have applied for an in-store or merchant credit card, I am uncomfortable with managing more than five accounts at a time. (Besides, I own the major credit cards and I never carry a balance).

Long story short, in preparation for the new tax season, I charged a new Acer laptop on the credit card that I use to make business related purchases. Since, I have the credit and I just paid all holiday (link) expenses, is there a legitimate way for me to defer the payment of the laptop -- one more month without incurring any significant interest or impairing my credit score?

Dear Phyliss,

It sounds like you manage your personal finances, well. Since most credit cards carry an APR of 18 percent or better. The best option could be in your mail box. Washington Mutual, Capital One and other financial institutions award customers who pay their credit card cards on time. As a result, you could have a good deal in your mail box. If not try contacting other credit card companies to weigh your APR alternatives. Select the credit card with the lowest APR. However, keep up your prompt payment patterns and your credit score should continue to improve.
