Chicago Hotel Review

Categories: Travel, Chicago Hotel, hotel

If I were a tourist in Chicago, there are two hotels I deem reservation worthy. Based on the location, comfort and price alone, I would select either the WhiteHall Hotel or the Hotel Affinia. While both are older hotels, centrally located in Chicago's Magnificent Mile, I would choose the WhiteHall Hotel for a couple reasons. Since it's located across the street from the Fairmont Hotel [105 E. Delaware Place], and around the corner from the Bloomingdale's Building, the WhiteHall Hotel would prevail in the location department.

And it's not because the John Hancock Building, a popular tourist destination in Chicago, is half a block away from the Whitehall hotel icon. Situated on Delaware Place, a street buzzing with relentless gridlock, the hotel is more conveniently situated amongst Chicago's shopping Mecca and represents the essence of Chicago living.

While I'm not implying that the Affinia Hotel icon is not conveniently located, [166 E. Superior] I have found the staff of the Whitehall Hotel to be far more accommodating, friendly and professional. So when you tally the positive votes of location, cost and unpretentious luxury, the Whitehall is a good place to consider stay in Chicago. For instance, throughout the holiday season, reservations are quite unusually economical for a major city.
